The Start-up Programme
Do you want to bring more sustainably produced food to your community?
We can help you.
Growing Communities is a social enterprise run by local people in Hackney, East London. We’ve run our community-led box scheme for 20 years with produce coming direct from local, sustainable farms and some produce from our own growing sites.
Through our Start-up Programme we’ve also helped other communities across the UK set up community-led box schemes based on Growing Communities' successful model. Together we're the Better Food Traders.
Please note: please contact us for details of the next stage of the programme
To date, nine community-led box schemes are now trading after joining our Start-up Programme: Burnley Crop Share, Local Greens, Herne Hill, London, the Windmill Community Box scheme, Margate, Vegbox, Kentish Town, London, Field to Fork, Kensal Rise, London, Cropdrop in Haringey, London, Enfield Veg Co, London, Lee Greens, Lewisham/Black Heath and Veg Box People in Manchester. Coming soon (2016) - Angel Greens in Islington/Kings Cross
