Open day and seasonal taster event
Sunday 22 September 11am - 4pm
Clissold Park, Stoke Newington, London N16 9HJ
Have you ever wondered where we grow our salad and how we do it in such small spaces? Come and visit our market garden in Clissold Park, one of our nine urban growing spaces in Hackney that make up our Patchwork farm. Meet the people behind the growing team, have a garden tour and get some growing tips. You can also buy some fresh-picked organic produce.
It's also a chance to try some tasty (and free!) cake made from our organic fruit and veg bag ingredients.
You can find the growing site by the Aviary in Clissold Park between 11-4pm
The garden will be open as part of the Urban Harvest, when London's edible gardens throw open their gates to visitors to see - and taste - the bounty that the city's growers are producing. Check the Urban Harvest map for details of other open gardens - more are being added all the time.
It's also part of Urban Food Fortnight is a celebration of the fabulous produce being grown, made, cooked and saved on our doorstep. It runs from 19 September to 6 October 2019. Check out the Urban Food Fortnight map to see what else is happening around London
Thanks to Clissold volunteer Dewi for the sunflower and bee photo.
