Thanks to everyone who voted in our recent board elections. We are pleased to report that the business of Growing Communities’ AGM is now complete.
The business was conducted by email using voting forms, with a voting deadline of noon on 6 February 2025. We confirm that this was quorate.

The voting forms circulated in advance of the meeting enabled Growing Communities members to vote and comment on AGM business. Growing Communities’ management and administration team confirm that participation was quorate and provided more than adequate number of members to propose and second all decisions listed in these minutes.
Item 1: Approval of last year’s AGM minutes
The minutes of the 1 February 2024 AGM were circulated and were agreed as a correct record of the meeting.
Item 2: Any matters arising
No matters arising or further points were raised. The GC team extend their thanks to everyone who has contributed to our work over the year.
Item 3: Election of Growing Communities board members
Two serving board members stood down by rotation, and stood for re-election:
• Geraldine Gilbert
• Kath Dalmeny
One board member retired:
• Amanda McDonell
One person stood for election:
• Hugo Seymour
All nominations were seconded by another member according to the rules.
As the board has space for nine directors, no election process was required and all candidates were declared successful appointments nem com, without the need for a vote.
There were no objections to any of these appointments.
Item 4: Approval of Growing Communities Impact Report & Accounts
Growing Communities sends our sincere thanks to GC members, market customers, local partners, staff, volunteers, board members, supporters and funders for our achievements during the year April 2023 to March 2024, as set out in our Impact Report & Accounts.
The Impact Report and Accounts were approved.
ACTION: Board and staff to undertake necessary submission and administration of accounts with Companies House.
Item 5: Any other business
Four members added comments in their voting form.
