We’re setting up the Better Food Shed (BFS) – a distribution hub for small/medium, local, organic food producers which will provide efficient access to the London consumer market, predominantly via community-led box schemes like Growing Communities.
To provide maximum profit back to both the farmers and community-led organisations we work with, we need to keep our running costs as low as possible. This means the Better Food Shed needs help finding a space.
We are looking for between 1500 to 4000 sq ft of warehouse space to locate our distribution hub. Ideally it would be a secure location with 24-hour access, with good road transport links (ideally near the M25) and HGV access. Better Food Shed will initially only need to use the hub for part of the week so would be open to sharing the space along with their food storage equipment and vehicles.
