When you sign up to the scheme, you agree to pay monthly in advance for your fruit and veg bags. This means we can promise a steady income and prompt payment to the small-scale farmers we work with.
If you would like to leave the scheme, you can do so at any time but we'll suggest that you stay till the end of the month you have paid for. Just give us a call on 020 7502 7588, email us or use the contact form.
When you cancel and require a refund, supply your bank account number and sort code so we can pay directly into your account.
Your first payment must be credited to our bank account before you collect your first bag.
Once you have collected your first bag, you are a member of Growing Communities, a company limited by guarantee, with members who elect a voluntary board. You will be entitled to vote for, or stand for, the board. Technically, you would be required to pay up to one pound in the event of the company winding up.
If you want to take a holiday from the scheme, please book it by 5pm on Thursday of the week before, so that we don't order produce for you. We will credit your account for the amount owed.
If you miss this cut-off point or can’t collect your veg for some reason, we won't be able to refund you. In this instance, you could ask a friend or neighbour to collect or we'll donate on your behalf to one of the charities we work with.
Please wash your veg well before using.
In the event that we are unable to supply the bags for whatever reason, we will inform you by email or text as soon as we can.
If your bag is not at the collection point, or there are missing items, don't take someone else's bag. Let us know by email or call us on 020 7502 7588 as soon as possible. We will do our best to get your bag to you, make up the difference or refund you.
If you are not happy with the service, let us know.
