Method 

Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat.

Add the garlic and ginger and toss in the oil.

Slice a portion of cabbage and add to the pan.

Add salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Toss around for three or four minutes.

Add a splash of water and put lid on pan to allow cabbage to soften slightly.

Remove lid and raise the heat to reduce liquid, stirring the cabbage mixture.

White cabbage

1 inch fresh root ginger, peeled and cut into julienne strips

1 garlic clove, sliced

1 tablespoon olive or rapeseed oil

Splash of water

Salt 

Freshly ground black pepper
