Purple sprouting broccoli with chilli

Purple sprouting broccoli (chopped into small pieces)

1 tsp sesame seeds

1 dessertspoon sesame oil

1 tsp lime juice

1 tsp Thai Fish Sauce (optional)

1 tsp soy sauce

1 small red chilli (chopped & de-seeded)


Toast sesame seeds by stirring them around in a small, heavy pan over a medium heat. As soon as they start to pop and go golden, turn off the heat. Stir them into the rest of the ingredients, except broccoli, in a large bowl. Steam broccoli for 4 minutes - or boil in a small amount of water for 2 minutes or less. Tip drained broccoli into bowl and stir around with the other ingredients. Serve.
