We’ll deliver double-value bags to your collection point. They’ll contain larger quantities of some staple items plus some more expensive seasonal items, such as Brussels sprouts, parsnips and Dagenham chutney in some bags.
Please try to collect your bags as early as possible. The GC office will close for the holidays at 5pm on Friday 21 December until Wednesday 2 January, so we won’t be able to respond to collection issues or queries after that.
All collection points will be open as usual, apart from:
The Redmond Centre is shutting slightly earlier than usual on Friday 21 December at 5pm (rather than 6.30pm)
Organic & Natural will be closed on Saturday 22 December. Please collect your bags by Friday if possible. If you can't collect till Saturday morning, bags will be moved across to the Palm 2 shop across the road.
On Saturday 22 December, after the usual collection times end, we’ll gather up any bags left at collection points and deliver them to Crisis.
Wednesday/Thursday 26/27 December
Wednesday/Thursday 2/3 January 2019
Veg scheme starts again. Bag contents will be different from usual – as we don't yet know which suppliers are working over the holidays.
Wednesday 19 December from 3.30pm till 8pm (note later closing time than usual)
We’ll be having a small celebration with mulled cider, spiced apple juice, cake and bucketloads of festive cheer at the Old Fire Station. You’re all welcome to join us. If you’d like to move your collection point to the OFS that week, please let us know. We’d love to see you. The Old Fire Station is at 61 Leswin Road, in Stoke Newington N16 7NX.
The garden will be closed in the first week of January. If you normally collect from there, please pick up your bags for 3/4 January from the Old Fire Station, N16 7NX instead. Note that you can collect from Wednesday afternoon (and buy organic eggs and bread from E5 Bakehouse during the staffed hours).
Opening hours at the OFS are: Wednesdays 3.30pm-9pm (staffed 3.30pm-7.30pm), Thursdays 8am-9pm, Fridays 8am-5pm
